Swift has completed a landmark interoperability trial with BNP Paribas, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Société Générale’s SG-FORGE, marking a pivotal institutional tokenization milestone. The project, which includes chainlink and UBS Asset Management, demonstrated seamless exchange and settlement of tokenized bonds using both fiat and digital currencies.

The trial tackled critical cross-platform challenges including delivery-versus-payment settlement and lifecycle events like interest payouts and redemption. Swift emphasized this breakthrough extends beyond point integrations, showcasing its capacity to orchestrate tokenized asset transactions across existing banking infrastructure.

Chainlink’s role in providing secure off-chain data feeds for smart contracts highlights the accelerating convergence of traditional finance and blockchain technology. Participation from tier-1 European banks signals rapid institutional adoption of tokenization solutions—bullish for infrastructure providers like Chainlink.
